BSS Group
When you consider the majority of residential construction projects happen without the owner seeking independent professional advice, the need for an external point-of-contact to offer affordable inspections becomes evident. However, back in 1975 this kind of service was hard to find in Australia.
Over 40 years experience
At that time, highly experienced architect and building consultant Alasdair Macleod had recently returned from a number of years living and working in the UK.
It was during his time overseas that he first noted the availability of independent advice on the everyday problems experienced by people building or developing properties.
This is what inspired Alasdair to establish BSS Group in Australia more than 40 years ago.
Alasdair was also Head of the Building Degree course at RMIT for five years in the mid 1980’s. This was an important time in his career development.
Sunny Blumson joined BSS Group in 2004.
With a background in building construction and tertiary qualifications in construction and project management he was ideal for the firm.
Sunny is now a co-director with Alasdair, and together they have assembled a 20-strong team comprising professional expertise in building and engineering consultancy.
It is this unique combination of knowledge and experience that has seen the company develop a strong reputation for helping resolve issues and concerns relating to existing or under-construction homes.
Operating from our premises at Essendon, we have refined our practice over the years, developing a suite of reliable, respected and award-winning services.
We are known for our professionalism and expertise, as well as our staunch commitment to reaching the fairest outcomes for all parties.
A Breath of Fresh Air
“I can’t thank you enough for your services over the last 12 months. You have provided us with support and advice and have helped us through some extremely difficult times. Your calm, pleasant, systematic approach was a breath of fresh air after dealing with a sea of false promises and exhaustive excuses.”
